Learn where to go to update your personal details, invite users, and more

Before you start creating your own buttons, letโ€™s do a quick walk-through of the menu.

When you first log into ActionButton, you'll land on the My Buttons dashboard. You can access the account menu at any point in the top right corner of your browser.

Select Hi, [Your Name]! to access the menu.

Here, you can select My Buttons, Account Profile, Help or log out of your account.

Click My Buttons to return to your existing buttons or create a new button.

When you click Help, it will open a tool that you can use to search for and read docs from our Help Center. If you can't find the answer you need, simply send us a message from that menu.

Go to Account Profile to edit personal and organization-level settings.

From Account Profile, you can access the following views:


My Profile

Update your account's name, email, and password.


Group Information

Update information about your organization that appears in buttons.

  • Organization Name - This is the default name that will appear at the top of your buttons, in the "Created by _____" credit.

  • Organization Description - Help your audience learn more about your organization. If you use the "Organization Name" smart field in a text field when creating your button, your audience will see a clickable link which opens a window containing your Organization Description.

  • X Handle - Add your organization's X (formerly Twitter) handle.

  • Privacy Policy URL - Add a link to your organization's privacy policy to replace the page your privacy policy disclaimer will direct your audience to.


Users

Invite teammates to your ActionButton account and control who has admin permissions.

  • Admins - Can edit all settings in the ActionButton account.

  • Regular users - Can create, edit, and share buttons. Can download audience contact information. Isn't allowed to update most account settings (Group Information, Theme, Billing, Integrations.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: There is no limit to the number of users you can add to your account.


Theme (paid plans only)

Go here to add a custom logo and color scheme to your buttons. Learn more.


Billing

Update your plan, view invoices, and manage your payment method from here.


Data (paid plans only)

Go here to download CSV reports that include top-line button engagement data, or contact info data from action-takers. Learn more.


Integrations (NationBuilder add-on plans only)

From here, you can configure integrated data sync from your ActionButton account to a NationBuilder account. Learn more. Once connected, you can also adjust how much NationBuilder social capital is awarded to people who complete different types of actions.
